Model 6P-C7 MKII

All Series 6 audio cables are meticulously assembled by hand in Orlando, Florida. The Series 6 Mark II 6P-C7 is a 2-pole non-polarized power cable that is shielded and grounded on the AC end. The cable is engineered with 14AWG conductors that won’t starve power amplifiers of current. Designed exclusively for Tributaries by Jay Victor these cables are designed primarily for low frequency signals of 50/60Hz with conductor size and gauge combinations specific for this purpose.  The Series 6 starts with multi-gauge solid High Conductivity Oxygen-Free Copper (HC-OFC) developed specifically for audio applications. Each conductor is insulated with PVC dielectric material that was chosen to isolate vibration caused by alternating current from entering the signal path. For maximum noise reduction alternating lays in cable twisting is employed. Magnetic fields are created when insulated conductors are twisted in a bundle causing distortion. Alternating the twists cancels out magnetic fields eliminating distortion. 6P is triple shielded, shielding from RF and EMI noise results in audible improvements by lowering the noise floor you hear and see more information. Termination of the Series 6 Mark II power cable conductors involves first preparing the wires by stripping the PE insulation, maintaining the original twist in the conductor and dipping in a high temperature solder pot. This process bonds the wires into one conductor that is terminated in the light-weight nylon power connector. This construction reduces transmission resistance and improves signal flow

Series 6 Mark II Bi-Wire Speaker cables begin with ultra-pure highly conductive oxygen-free copper (HC-OFC) developed specifically for audio applications.  Conductors consist of multiple solid gauges that are mathematically and tonally chosen to support low, mid and high frequencies for a natural sounding cable. Individually insulating each conductor yields zero strand interaction and better sound quality. It is important to understand that music passing through the speaker cable, is actually an AC voltage, so when voltage passes through twisted wire, there will be additional magnetic fields. Tributaries Star-Quad design not only alternates the positive and negative signal conductors but also alternates the twisted lays in each multi-gauge conductor. Alternating lays cancels all levels of magnetic distortion. The end result is a neutral sounding cable

The Series Mark II 6 begin with silver-plated ultra-pure highly conductive oxygen-free copper (HC-OFC) developed specifically for digital audio applications. To maintain a consistent 75 Ohm impedance, the coaxial Series 6 S/PDIF Digital Audio cable’s 20AWG silver-plated center conductor is surrounded by three perfectly concentric layers of dielectric which consist of a skin, foamed PE and a final skin. Heavy triple shielding block noise from entering the signal path. Tributaries Series 6 precision 75 Ohm engineering provides accurate digital audio performance.

Each conductor is engineered with dual solid gauge wires that are mathematically and tonally chosen to support low, mid and high frequencies for a natural sounding cable. Individually insulating each wire yields zero strand interaction and better sound quality. The Series 6 Mark II balanced cables are precision twisted balanced in design. Dedicated conductors with equal impedance for positive and negative signals. The signal conductors are wrapped with dual shielding to keep noise from reaching the single path. To reduce signal hum during connection the Tributaries Series 6 XLR connectors have the female ground (pin 1) placed forward in the shell so the ground connects first. The end result is a neutral sounding cable.

Series Mark II 6 Single-Ended RCA cables begin with ultra-pure highly conductive oxygen free copper (HC-OFC) developed specifically for audio applications.  Each conductor is engineered with dual solid gauge wires that are mathematically and tonally chosen to support low, mid and high frequencies for a natural sounding cable. Individually insulating each wire yields zero strand interaction and better sound quality. Unbalanced analog audio systems will benefit from using Tributaries Twin-Axial cable design. The precision twisted Twin-Axial design has dedicated conductors for the positive signal and negative return signal plus a heavy shield that is connected to the source end only. In this design the shield will capture any induced interference sending it to ground at the source end thereby isolating noise away from the input stage of the load. This configuration ensures a clear signal transfer with overall noise rejection as close to balanced as possible. The end result is a neutral sounding cable.
