Reference Grade Audiophile Cable

Model 8SP12 MKII

November 22, 2018 by

All Series 8 audio cables are meticulously assembled by hand in Orlando, Florida. 8SP12 Mark II speaker cables are engineered with a flat zip-type geometry that is UL rated jacket for installation inside the wall. The Series 8 begin with extremely high grade linear crystal copper (LC-OFC) developed specifically for audio applications.  Tributaries LC-OFC is carefully drawn to produce a low crystal volume per foot resulting in less signal loss and distortion. 12AWG conductors consist of multiple solid gauges that are mathematically and tonally chosen to support low, mid and high frequencies for a natural sounding cable. Individually insulating each conductor yields zero strand interaction and better sound quality. The Mark II cables are silver soldered onto proprietary spade lugs and locking banana plug connectors made with Tellurium (TE) copper increasing conductivity and strength. This cable is the perfect speaker wire when installing Dolby® Atmos in wall speakers because it provides superior imagery and improved musical dimension.

The Series 8 Mark II UL Rated 12AWG speaker cable is stocked in 200 ft. spools and terminated in lengths from 4 foot to 12 foot lengths with custom lengths available.

All Series 8 audio cables are meticulously assembled by hand in Orlando, Florida. Series 8 Mark II Star-Quad speaker cables begin with extremely high-grade linear crystal copper (LC-OFC) developed specifically for audio applications.  Tributaries LC-OFC is carefully drawn to produce a low crystal volume per foot resulting in less signal loss and distortion. 11AWG conductors consist of multiple solid gauges that are mathematically and tonally chosen to support low, mid and high frequencies for a natural sounding cable. Individually insulating each conductor yields zero strand interaction and better sound quality. It is important to understand that music passing through the speaker cable, is actually an AC voltage, so when voltage passes through twisted wire, there will be additional magnetic fields. Tributaries Star-Quad design not only alternates the positive and negative signal conductors but also alternates the twisted lays in each multi-gauge conductor. Alternating lays cancels all levels of magnetic distortion. The Mark II cables are silver soldered onto proprietary spade lugs and locking banana plug connectors made with Tellurium (TE) copper increasing conductivity and strength. The end result is a dead-quiet neutral sounding cable that accurately produces the sound of live music

The Series 8 Mark II Star-Quad speaker cable is stocked in each in lengths from 4 foot to 12 foot lengths with custom lengths available.

All Series 8 audio cables are meticulously assembled by hand in Orlando, Florida. If your speakers are equipped with 4 binding posts they are meant for bi-wiring. One pair is for high frequency and the other pair is for low frequency. If you prefer not to bi-wire, speaker manufacturers provide gold plated brass bars to bridge the negative posts and the positive posts combining the high with the low. We recommend that you upgrade the stock bars with Series 8 Mark II speaker jumpers made of ultra-pure LC-OFC that is carefully drawn to produce a low crystal volume per foot resulting in less signal loss and distortion. Mark II cables are silver soldered onto proprietary spade lugs and locking banana plug connectors made with Tellurium (TE) copper increasing conductivity and strength. The lower resistance and high conductivity of the Series 8 MKII speaker jumpers will make an audible difference.

The Series 8 Mark II speaker jumpers are stocked in pairs in lengths of 6 inches with custom lengths available.

All Series 8 audio cables are meticulously assembled by hand in Orlando, Florida. Series 8 Mark II subwoofer mono cables are optimally designed to work in Low Frequency Effects (LFE) Subwoofer outputs of a pre-amp or receiver. The Series 8 design starts with extremely high grade linear crystal copper (LC-OFC) developed specifically for audio applications.  Tributaries LC-OFC is carefully drawn to produce a low crystal volume per foot resulting in less signal loss and distortion. Conductors consist of multiple solid gauges that are mathematically and tonally chosen to support lower, upper and mid-bass frequency ranges for a dynamic bass sound. Individually insulating each conductor yields zero strand interaction and better sound quality. The precision-twisted Twin-Axial design has dedicated conductors for the positive signal and negative return signal plus a heavy shield that is connected to the source end only. In this design the shield will capture any induced interference sending it to ground at the source end thereby isolating noise away from the input stage of the load. This configuration ensures a clear signal transfer with overall noise rejection. The Mark II cables are silver soldered onto proprietary RCA connectors made with Tellurium (TE) copper contacts increasing conductivity and strength. The end result is a dead-quiet cable that accurately produces a dynamic bass sound.

The Series 8 Mark II subwoofer cable is stocked in mono cables in lengths from 1 meter to 4 meter lengths with custom lengths available.

All Series 8 phono cables are meticulously assembled by hand in Orlando, Florida. The Series 8 Mark II phono cable set is comprised of a Series 8 Mark II Single-Ended RCA audio cable paired with a 14AWG silver-plated PCCC 14 AWG ground wire. Series 8 audio cable is engineered with extremely high grade linear crystal copper (LC-OFC) developed specifically for audio applications.  Tributaries LC-OFC is carefully drawn to produce a low crystal volume per foot resulting in less signal loss and distortion. Conductors consist of multiple solid gauges that are mathematically and tonally chosen to support low, mid and high frequencies for a natural sounding cable. Individually insulating each conductor yields zero strand interaction and better sound quality. Unbalanced analog audio systems will benefit from using Tributaries Twin-Axial cable design. The precision-twisted Twin-Axial design has dedicated conductors for the positive signal and negative return signal plus a heavy shield that is connected to the source end only. In this design the shield will capture any induced interference sending it to ground at the source end thereby isolating noise away from the input stage of the load. The ground wire is terminated with a gold-plated spade lug that will fit ground posts that are 4mm and smaller. This configuration ensures a clear signal transfer with overall noise rejection as close to balanced as possible. The end result is a dead-quiet neutral sounding cable that accurately produces the sound of live music

The Series 8 Mark II phono cable set is stocked as an RCA pair plus one ground wire. Phono cable sets are available in ½ meter to 4 meter lengths with custom lengths available.

All Series 8 audio cables are meticulously assembled by hand in Orlando, Florida. Series 8 MKII 3-POLE Power cables begin with extremely high-grade linear crystal copper (LC-OFC) developed specifically for audio applications.  Tributaries 8P cables are designed to support low frequency 50/60Hz signals. Current capabilities of power cables are a major concern. Power amps tend to draw current in pulses. Depending on the output of the power amplifier, too small a gauge of the power cable will result in excess resistance that may restrict the peak level of a required pulse limiting the transient response of the amplifier, but if only large conductors are used the cable tends to lose dynamics and also will not respond quickly to transients; the Series 8 power cables are designed with a unique combination of individually insulated large and medium gauge wires to form an overall 12 AWG design supporting current flow and signal dynamics. The Mark II cables are silver-soldered to Tellurium (TE) copper termination pins which mate perfectly with the new Tributaries power connectors allowing the greatest amount of contact area possible for perfect signal transfer. Noise rejection is key factor in the design of an AC power cable. The 8P alternates the twisted lays in each multi-gauge conductor. Alternating lays cancels all levels of magnetic distortion. Triple shielding is employed to prevent outside noise from penetrating the signal. The Mark II power cables will lower the noise floor without restricting audio dynamics leaving you with more of the recorded audio and video for crystal clear dynamic experience.

The Series 8 Mark II 3-POLE Power cable is stocked in each in lengths from 3 foot, 6 foot and 9 foot with custom lengths available
