Model 8AD MKII

All Series 8 audio cables are meticulously assembled by hand in Orlando, Florida. The Series 8 Mark II Digital Audio cables begin with extremely high-grade linear crystal copper (LC-OFC) that is silver plated to support higher frequency performance specifically for digital audio applications. To maintain a consistent 75 Ohm impedance, the coaxial Series 8 S/PDIF digital audio cable’s 18AWG silver-plated center conductor is surrounded by three perfectly concentric layers of dielectric which consist of a skin, foamed PE and a final skin. Heavy triple shielding block noise from entering the signal path. The Mark II cables are silver soldered onto proprietary RCA connectors made with Tellurium (TE) copper contacts increasing conductivity and strength. The 8AD MKII precision engineering supports wide bandwidth applications to transmit multichannel audio accurately.

Model 4AO

Tributaries Series 4 Fiber Optic cables are single mode plastic optical fiber made from 1mm crystal-clear fiber cores surrounded by a highly reflective cladding and a protective jacket. The cladding and jacket are applied in concentric layers during the drawing process to prevent damage to the fiber that may occur during a 2 step process. The constant thickness improves losses due to attenuation. The 4AO has highly polished termination ends that resemble the convex look of a camera lens to ensure maximum signal transfer. This procedure ensures less than 0.1dB loss at each termination

Model 6USB

Many things can introduce timing errors, and cables happen to be one of them. The Series 6 USB cables were designed with this specifically in mind, and the precision twisting techniques used are quite similar to those found on high-end HDMI cables, where the timing is also critical. This is one of many factors that contributes to making a fine quality low-jitter USB cable specifically intended for Audio. 6USB uses heavy gauge signal conductors to lower resistance and dramatically increase signal transfer, thus reducing potential timing errors. USB is a high frequency system by design, with the signal frequency in the GHz range, so Tributaries added silver plating to improve signal transfer by minimizing signal loss due to skin effect. The power conductors are also a much larger gauge, this is to ensure that adequate current is provided to USB audio devices. In addition, separate shielding on the signal conductors prevent noise on the power lines from getting into the signal path. There is also another double set of shields that isolate the entire cable from outside EMI and RFI. Overall, there are many factors that differentiate Tributaries Series 6 from standard USB cables, and listening to them will remove all doubt as to the effectiveness of these special audio-related construction techniques.

Model 6SJ MKII

All Series 6 audio cables are meticulously assembled by hand in Orlando, Florida. If your speakers are equipped with 4 binding posts they are meant for bi-wiring. One pair is for high frequency and the other pair is for low frequency. If you prefer not to bi-wire, speaker manufacturers provide gold plated brass bars to bridge the negative posts and the positive posts. We recommend that you upgrade the stock bars with Series 6 Mark II speaker jumpers made of high conductivity HC-OFC. Using Series 6 Speaker jumpers will improve the performance of your speakers over standard brass binding post bars

The Series 6 Mark II Speaker Jumpers are stocked in pairs in lengths of 6 inches with custom lengths available.

Model 8SJ MKII

All Series 8 audio cables are meticulously assembled by hand in Orlando, Florida. If your speakers are equipped with 4 binding posts they are meant for bi-wiring. One pair is for high frequency and the other pair is for low frequency. If you prefer not to bi-wire, speaker manufacturers provide gold plated brass bars to bridge the negative posts and the positive posts combining the high with the low. We recommend that you upgrade the stock bars with Series 8 Mark II speaker jumpers made of ultra-pure LC-OFC that is carefully drawn to produce a low crystal volume per foot resulting in less signal loss and distortion. Mark II cables are silver soldered onto proprietary spade lugs and locking banana plug connectors made with Tellurium (TE) copper increasing conductivity and strength. The lower resistance and high conductivity of the Series 8 MKII speaker jumpers will make an audible difference.

Model 4SP14

All Series 4 audio cables are meticulously assembled by hand in Orlando, Florida. Series 4 UL Rated Speaker cable is designed as a step-up performance level to standard 14/2 which is typically installed inside the wall to speakers. Typical 14/2 is made of low cost standard grade copper that is stranded for flexibility. The problem with stranded wire is the signal jumps from strand to strand in an undesirable, unpredictable manner which causes audible distortion. SP414 is engineered with ultra-pure highly conductive oxygen-free copper (HC-OFC) developed specifically for audio applications. Two 14AWG conductors are insulated dual-gauge construction for improved sound quality while parallel in arrangement to eliminate magnetic distortion. All-in-all the 4SP14 UL rated speaker cable sound as good as they look without breaking the bank

The Series 4 Speaker cable is stocked in each in 200 foot spools and terminated in 4 foot to 12 foot lengths with custom lengths available.
